Is it spring break yet?

Uh, yeah. So. It's been a while. Nothing much has happened though. Valentine's Day was a couple weeks ago. I asked Aisha out. Surprised her actually. So we're dating. It's pretty cool.

School is going well. I really like my classes this semester, especially my Spanish prof. I'm taking Spanish for Bilingual Students II (I took I last semester) and this prof is awesome. The last one...not so much. I'm ready for spring break though and it is not for another few weeks yet. I don't have any plans for it, but I'm tempted to ride down to LA and go to the beach or something for a couple days, depending on what is going on with NROTC. If I have drills or something then obviously, I won't go. I don't have summer cruise so maybe I won't have any spring break requirements either, other than homework, which is expected.

Um...in less great news, I met this insane woman at the mall right before Valentine's Day. She kept asking about my sex life. A complete stranger. WTF?! What business is it of hers!? Maybe I'm just an old-fashioned prude, but I don't enjoy discussing my personal, private business with complete strangers I just met at the mall. That is why it is personal and private. She was absolutely nuts though, acting as if I should answer because she had asked. Then she threw a HANGER at my head. I wasn't hurt, but that really wasn't the point. (And yes, I had grabbed her wrist and let her go prior to her throwing the hanger, but it was only to move her out of my way when she was in my face. I would never hit a woman outside of combat.) Some people are just not fit to be in public.

But, I really like Aisha.

Aisha says I need to open up more. I don't see why my private life is any business of yours, so we compromised with this quiz. I am going to attempt not to give one word answers.

too much break....cannot handle....

I got my textbooks and have been flipping through them (did I mention I'm a nerd?). Classes don't start until next Tuesday, but I'm excited and ready for the semester to begin! I'm required to be a full time student every session they offer classes, even summers, so this month of no classes has been driving me nuts!

This semester I'm taking Spanish for bilingual students II, Calculus II, History of Medicine, Naval Leadership & Ethics, and Integrative Medicine (seminar). Silly prereqs need to be finished faster so I can be done. Thank goodness I was able to come in with some credits already thanks to the courses I have already taken through the Navy. It's not a lot, but it is better than nothing. These classes do look interesting though. I'm still doing the NROTC thing, which is non-negotiable, and am doing the armed drill platoon with that. I did it last semester too and we'll be going to competition again later this semester. Not sure when yet.

My younger sister, well, half sister, Adriannah was accepted with early admission to Berkeley. David just emailed me a few minutes ago to tell me. He wants her to come visit for spring break, go with me to classes, that sort of stuff. Ugh. I've agreed, but just what I don't need. David has promised though that she's going to live in the dorms at least her freshman year and NOT with me. This doesn't mean she gets to come over every weekend and do her laundry either.

Adriannah actually isn't so bad as little sisters go, and it's sort of weird being the oldest instead of the youngest like I grew up, but that doesn't mean I want her in my business everywhere. The silly girl actually looks up to me. Go figure. Not as much now that she's not 9 anymore, thankfully.

Alright, I'm going to go work out. Too much daytime TV and I start to lose my mind.

All packed

Packed and ready to go. Aisha and I (and her brother, Logan, who appeared the other day) are off to Phoenix for Christmas someone save me.

Of course, our flight doesn't leave for several more hours and Aisha is still running around the apartment barely ready. I've been ready for hours now and Logan just has a duffel bag anyways. I'm sure she is going to bring too much anyways. Even if we get to the airport late we'll most likely be okay. My military ID gets me through security ASAP. I don't fly in uniform at least, it is always so awkward doing so.
