I got my textbooks and have been flipping through them (did I mention I'm a nerd?). Classes don't start until next Tuesday, but I'm excited and ready for the semester to begin! I'm required to be a full time student every session they offer classes, even summers, so this month of no classes has been driving me nuts!
This semester I'm taking Spanish for bilingual students II, Calculus II, History of Medicine, Naval Leadership & Ethics, and Integrative Medicine (seminar). Silly prereqs need to be finished faster so I can be done. Thank goodness I was able to come in with some credits already thanks to the courses I have already taken through the Navy. It's not a lot, but it is better than nothing. These classes do look interesting though. I'm still doing the NROTC thing, which is non-negotiable, and am doing the armed drill platoon with that. I did it last semester too and we'll be going to competition again later this semester. Not sure when yet.
My younger sister, well, half sister, Adriannah was accepted with early admission to Berkeley. David just emailed me a few minutes ago to tell me. He wants her to come visit for spring break, go with me to classes, that sort of stuff. Ugh. I've agreed, but just what I don't need. David has promised though that she's going to live in the dorms at least her freshman year and NOT with me. This doesn't mean she gets to come over every weekend and do her laundry either.
Adriannah actually isn't so bad as little sisters go, and it's sort of weird being the oldest instead of the youngest like I grew up, but that doesn't mean I want her in my business everywhere. The silly girl actually looks up to me. Go figure. Not as much now that she's not 9 anymore, thankfully.
Alright, I'm going to go work out. Too much daytime TV and I start to lose my mind.
